Mitch Vermander is a fully licensed charter boat captain operating from his home on the north channel of the St. Clair River. He is a full time guide, specializing in light tackle jig fishing for walleyes.
Captain Mitch has worked locally in and around the Detroit Metropolitan area for the better part of 30 years as a Mechanical Engineer, spending most of his remaining waking moments fishing the Great Lakes and its surrounding streams. Captain says there is no doubt, from fishing the Florida Keys, to Salmon and Steelhead in the streams, or jig fishing for Walleyes, jig fishing for Walleye has always been his passion. His knowledge of the local waters and the ability to consistently find active fish have made for many successful days on the water.
